Capturing Calm: My Journey to San Diego’s Coastal Beauty #1

Sometimes, life takes unexpected turns. A few years ago, I came to San Diego for a photography gig—an engagement session, to be exact—and I never really left. It’s easy to see why: the coastal scenery here is nothing short of mesmerizing. I found myself surrounded by gorgeous beaches, warm sunsets, and open skies. Something about this place just made me want to slow down and enjoy the view.

Finding a New Path

Fast forward a few years, and I was running around shooting weddings—until the pandemic changed everything. With events canceled overnight, I suddenly had a lot of free time on my hands. That’s when I decided to turn my lens toward the landscapes around me. I’d drive up and down the coast, stopping whenever I stumbled upon a peaceful overlook or a hidden beach access point. During those uncertain times, photographing nature felt grounding and gave me a sense of calm—something we could all use a little more of.

From Photos to Framed Art

That’s how the idea for my online store first took shape. Over the years, I’ve built a collection of images that capture the tranquility of California’s landscape—from the rocky shores near La Jolla to breezy stretches of beach down in Imperial Beach.
